First Day Reminders - HS Marching Band

Attention:  These are items we did not cover in class today. 

1) Our first rehearsal went great today.  Remember to be here at 7AM on Friday for early band.

2)  All band members need to bring in $5 for your shirt.  If you have already paid, the database is marked. 

3) Freshman need to order shoes.  The cost is $20.  Please reply to this email with your size.  If financial assistance is needed, please let us know.  We have quite a few used shoes that are in perfect and clean condition. 

4) The first Home Game is next Friday (August 26th).  If all goes well, we should march pregame and our first song at half.  No pressure.  If neede, we will play half from the stands.  Weather is a factor, so we will see how the next three rehearsals go.  The first home game will be band shirts and shorts only.  Call time at SBU will be 5:45pm. 

5) Remind parents to subscribe to the blog email list by going to www.bolivarmusic.org

6)  Students should subscribe to our Google Classroom with this code:  vkcgzm8

7)  Do the first assignment and submit.  These are the steps you need to organize your chromebook for band. 

8) Check www.bolivarmusic.org for Syllabus. 
9) text 81010 to @smcclard to subscribe to band texting. 
10) Uniforms need to be sized after school if you are still waiting to get your garment bag filled.  We will be here each day.

State Schedule 2016

We leave Bolivar on Friday, April 29th, at 3:00pm.  Pack for one night in Columbia.  Bring money for meals.  Dress nice on Saturday.  You cannot leave with a parent without checking out first.  You cannot drive, but your parent can drive you.  You cannot ride home with a friend.  We should be back home between 6 - 7pm.  Our last event is at 2:00pm.

We have two rooms open.  First come first serve.  Deadline is April 24th

Our upcoming Disney trip is May 29th to June 3rd, 2017.  Documents for the trip can be accessed from this Google Drive:

The trip is open to current 7th -11th Grade Band students (8th-12th in 2016-2017).  High School Vocal will also be taking students.  The last two trips we did to Disney were amazing.  Feel free to email me if you have trouble with the link.  These documents are also located here:

Parade Information for Saturday, December 12th

Students need Uniform, Santa Hat, Marching Shoes, Uniform and Instruments.  These items should already be loaded on the trailer.  We meet at the SBU Music Building at 1:00pm.  Be Early.  Parade starts at 2:00pm.  We should be finished at around 3:00pm.
